Our Story

Sunbury Bus Service & Sunbury Coaches

Sunbury Bus Service and Sunbury Coaches was established in 1980 when Richard Baird purchased a small, 8-vehicle school bus operation from WJ Treweek. In the years that followed, the business expanded to include touring coaches and route service vehicles. A small route service consisting of North and South routes commenced in Sunbury in 1982. These 2 routes remain today as the 481 and 485 routes, although the vehicles and routes look very different today than when they first began.

Sunbury’s fleet is now over 110 vehicles and consists of school buses, mini buses, low-floor route service buses, electric buses, touring coaches and safari trailers.

Our People

At Donric, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset, and aim to assist each person in our team into reaching their full potential.

We take a great deal of pride in our bus and coach drivers. They are all dedicated professionals with hands on experience in transporting large groups of people. We provide comprehensive training in vehicle handling skills and help ensure our drivers are knowledgeable in the suburbs, towns, and cities they visit. All drivers wear the Company uniform whilst on duty and are solely responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of their vehicles. Our drivers are courteous and friendly and are always ready to offer extra assistance or information where necessary.

Accreditations and Certifications

Sunbury Coaches is an Accredited Bus Operator (AO00525) with Safe Transport Victoria, and all of our drivers complete thorough training to ensure they are operating at or above appropriate standards. Our business is committed to social procurement and in providing high quality transport options for the communities we service.

Sunbury Coaches is an ISO-certified business, with certification for Quality (ISO 9001:2015), Environment (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001:2018).
